Denver Marathon/Kids Trip

My buddy, Katie, and I ran the Denver Rock and Roll Marathon on October 19th.  Amanda & I decided to make a trip out of it and take our 4 oldest kids.  Milan and Jacob stayed at home with their dads!  It was a little crazy at times, but we had a blast and got to do lots of fun stuff!  We stayed right down town on Saturday night and unbeknownst to us it happened to be the 9th annual Zombie March.  There were an estimated 35,000 people dressed as zombies walking around the 16th Street mall area.  It was very disturbing to say the least.  Luckily our kiddos just kind of brushed it off and weren't really that scared.  We avoided the area as much as we could.  The kids were able to make signs and get pom poms and cowbells to cheer us on in the marathon.  Katie and I saw them all around mile 19.  It was so exciting to see them!  They went to the Colorado History Museum while we ran the last 7 miles and then met us at the finish line.  After the race, we rode the bus on 16th Street mall and then drove to Boulder to go to the Butterfly Pavilion!

Fall Update

Jacob loves the sand box!

He loves Papa's cows even more...his first words included, "cow" and "moooo".

On September 30, at the ripe old age of 16 months, Jacob took his first real steps.  He was so proud of himself and kept tipping over because he was giggling so hard!

We took the kids to the Wyoming state cross country meet in Sheridan a few weekends ago.  We ran into one of my most favorite people of all time...Coach Sanchez.  He was our cross country and track coach when we ran at UW.  It was so good to see him and our buddies/former teammates, Chris & Greg!

Whirlwind Trip to Colorado

We headed down to Loveland to meet my parents and check out their potential new digs!  We are so excited that they are moving closer.  They gave Gabi an early birthday present...a new camera!

After we left Loveland, we headed towards Denver.  Joe had to attend a party for work.  I took all kids to my friend's house to play Bunko!  It was so fun to see all my old buddies!  The next day, we headed up towards Lake Granby to meet our friends Dan & Julianne for a weekend of camping.  They had just bought a popup camper as well and have two little boys (between Maya and Jacob's ages).  It was a beautiful location and fun times were had by all!

Back to School!!

Gabi will be in 1st grade this year.  Maya will start Kindergarten.  Their classrooms are right down the hall from each other. :)  So excited for school!
