We tried to spend as much time at the cabin while the colors were still beautiful and then weather was nice!
My mom and dad joined us and even tried out the guest cabin!
Joe and Jacob caught a fish in our creek/pond. Pretty little guy!
This calf moose was hanging around one weekend.
Jacob tried soccer for the first time this fall. He had fun!
Gabi decided to cut off about 10" from her hair. We couldn't believe how long it had grown.

In mid-October, we headed down to Laramie for another football game (unfortunately this time a loss to Air Force), but fun nonetheless. :) The next day, we went to the Great Colorado Air Show in Loveland to see the Blue Angels and other airplanes and jets. It was AMAZING!
The WY Air National Guard guys let Jacob get up in their big truck because he was wearing a Wyoming sweatshirt! Ha!

The first big snowstorm of the season came and we got two snow days out of it! It dumped about 18" and made some pretty incredible drifts.
Ranch cousins headed out to sled!

Hot chocolate warms you up!
Maya loves singing in the school choir. They had their first concert.
The first snow fell at the cabin too. We are still able to go in and it has provided some new adventures for the kids!
Happy Halloween!!
Joe and Jacob carved this pumpkin
Gabi was a Bills Mafia member, Maya was a pineapple, and Jacob was Sonic the Hedgehog for trick-or-treating!
The kids had fun trick-or-treating in town with some of their friends. Look at all the Bills players/fans! :) Go Josh Allen!
The fall wouldn't be complete without giving a shoutout to my cross country team! They made the season so fun and both the boys and girls finished as Conference Champs! The Boys took 3rd at the State meet. Love these kids!
I've enjoyed my evening walks around the ranch with this silly boy. He is always up for adventure and keeps me laughing!
Both girls had a great cross country season! Gabi has improved so much since she was a 6th grader. She had some great finishes this year. Maya has also improved and was the repeat 7th grade district champion (Sheridan-Buffalo-Gillette)! I love to watch them run.
The entire middle school cross country came out to run at the ranch one afternoon. :)
Over Labor Day weekend, we went to Laramie to watch the UW football game and then continued on to Colorado to watch the Rockies play the Braves. Fun time!
Maya made her Grammy's bread recipe for a school project.
The kids and I went over to Gillette on September 16th to run in remembrance of our 8 friends that were killed by a drunk driver 20 years ago. It is always an emotional run, but it comforts me to know that our kids know the importance of honoring and carrying on the memory of our teammates.
Char and I made it the entire 8 miles! Love this girl!
We spent some post-race time with the other families who were teammates of ours at UW. All the kids ran as well!
We did this really crazy thing and bought a cabin in the Big Horn Mountains! Joe and I have been dreaming of this since before we were married!. We finally found the one that fit the bill and are so excited to share the beauty of this place with our family for years to come!
This moose greeted us when we woke up the first morning we owned it! He hung around the property the rest of the day. We see moose nearly every time we go.
The girls kept busy re-painting birdhouses we found.
I think Hudson might like it even more than the kids!
Hiking around the cabin
Joe found a new favorite spot to relax and listen to the Cowboys games
We spent Gabi's birthday weekend at the cabin and had lots of fun!
FOURTEEN!
The ranch family came up to help us celebrate Gabi and check out the new digs!
