Spring Break in Colorado/Cabo

After Easter Sunday, Joe and I headed to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for a vacation.  We left the kids with my Mom and Dad in Colorado.  We are so thankful that they were up for taking care of those three turkeys!  Sounds like they all had a blast.  They took trips to the Discovery Museum in Ft. Collins, two different indoor water parks, and the fun library near their house.  They also spent lots of time playing at the park when it was nice.

Jacob spends a lot of time pushing his trucks and tractors.  He usually races them through our house, but really loved the long sidewalks at the park.
The museum had a fun train table that Jacob just loved...it was hard to get him to leave.

A picture my Mom texted me during the trip.  I think they had so much fun and were so spoiled, that they didn't miss us much!  :)

Joe and I had a great time in Cabo.  We didn't do a whole lot, but that was the plan.  We walked along the beach into town each evening for dinner and to explore.  We ate some fantastic food and soaked up the sun!  Even though it was nice to get some alone time, we missed our kids.  We will take them with us to Mexico on the next trip!  I love being with my family of five.  :)

Easter

We spent Easter at my parents' house in Colorado!  So nice to have them close!

All dressed up for church!  Yes, Gabi is wearing a dress!!!

Putting the final touches on the bunny cake!!

My parents have an awesome park a block away from their house.  The weather was so nice on Easter, that we spent lots of time playing!

Winter Fun!

Here are some fun pictures that we took this winter!

Playing at the park on a sunny day!
Checking out a new calf with Papa Dave
Helping Grammy Joyce celebrate her birthday
Jacob hanging out in the garden cart with Milan on one of the kids' adventures
Jacob with Papa Don
Don and Phyllis with most of their great grandkids
Trying to ski/snowboard inside since there was no snow outside!
I am planning on keeping this until Maya gets to high school, so I can show her that at one point she thought her mom was cool.  :)
Maya was pretty jazzed about the Easter egg hunt with her cousins.
All of the First Graders got to sing the National Anthem at a home basketball game.  Maya is the "dark girl" in the front row.  Haha
Gabi in her second grade performance, "Hats!"
Devastation hit Maya when she lost her tooth on the bus (out of the tooth necklace they gave her at school.  Somehow the tooth fairy found it since she left Maya a reward.  :)

Sledding Party

We had a fairly dry winter so we tried to take advantage of any snow we received!  We hosted a sledding party for a bunch of friends and their kids, but by the time afternoon rolled around, the snow was melting fast.  It took lots of shovels and some work by the dads, but we had ourselves one heck of a chute to sled!  It was fast and fun!

Ski Trip with Friends

We try to meet up with our friends from college once a year for a ski trip.  It can be tough to get everyone since we're spread from Colorado to Northern Montana.  We met in Bozeman this year and did some skiing at Bridger Bowl.  It may be our new favorite place!  Super kid friendly and lots of fun runs!

All of us had girls first and then had these cute boys.  They are all within 6 months of each other.  It will be an adventure when they get on skis!  They had lots of fun playing together!

All the girls decorating Valentine's Day cookies!
Following the girls down the "canyon"!  They had a blast skiing together for two days!

We stopped in Billings on the way home to hit Costco, eat, and check out the new Scheel's store.  It is pretty fancy and the ferris wheel was the main attraction.

Here comes trouble.
