12/20/07 1st DNA Match sent to US Embassy in Guatemala
12/??/07 Approval from Family Court in Guatemala
January 17-21, 2008 visit trip to Guatemala
1/23/08 -- Pre-Approval (PA) Issued from US Embassy in Guatemala
2/18/08 PGN (Guatemalan government) approval
2/28/08 Mixco Birth Certificate issued
2/29/08 Guatemalan passport issued
3/3/08 2nd DNA test done
3/13/08 "PINK" US Embassy in Guatemala issues date for final adoption decree & Visa appointment
3/25/08 US Embassy Appointment
3/27/08 HOME FOREVER!!!

International Adoption Information

We are so happy that we were led down the path of adoption. Gabriela has already brought us so much joy in the short time she has been with us. If you are interested in pursuing an international adoption, our wondeful agent is starting up her own adoption agency. She worked so hard for us and even though Guatemalan adoptions are currently closed, she is doing work in Ethiopia, Haiti, and Eastern European countries.
