April 2020

As the Covid quarantine continued, so did the beginnings of homeschool and some boredom.  We tried to make the most of it.

Buzz Lightyear waiting patiently for his eggs to dye.

Done!

Getting set to booby trap the Easter bunny

Jacob left the Easter Bunny quite the spread!

Maya putting the finishing touches on all of the bunny cakes...since the ranch family all ate separately from each other, we made one for each gathering.

Happy Easter!

We did get together outside for an Easter Egg hunt and brush burning!

Jacob had a lemonade stand!

All of the kids got bedroom makeovers!

Jacob went with a Space theme

Gabi went with a Black & White theme

Maya's in its early stages

Quarantine haircut!  Joe got one too!

Joe worked from home for about 6 weeks.  He didn't like it very much!  haha!  Maya made him the sign for his door.

Our show of support for the healthcare workers

Hudson LOVED having us home and made our recess adventures more fun!

Highway cleanup...we did the entire length of UFC along with some neighbors!

Making masks for a 4H community service project

Their new sheep!

March 2020

We were able to get to Steamboat at the beginning of March before Covid shut everything down.  We skied with both our friends and my parents.  I'm so glad we made the trip!

Notice the Sheriff's badge - he had to be like Woody! And loved finding this little barn

The next weekend, just the 5 of us went to Antelope Butte a little closer to home.  Again...so glad we went!  They closed everything down the next day!
Jacob made a leprechaun trap!  Unfortunately, it didn't quite catch him
They shut our schools down for the last 3 weeks of March.  For this first part, it felt like a staycation and we had a chance to get some projects done around the house and spend lots of time together.  We did have to cancel our Spring Break trip to California, which the kids had really been looking forward to.  Here are some pics from our first few weeks of quarantine.

Jacob got bike riding down pat!
We went on lots of hikes around the ranch

Getting ready for Easter...Toy Story style of course!

And last but not least...we celebrated Gabi's Gotcha Day!  She has been home with us for 13 years!  Crazy! I can't imagine life without her.  Her shenanigans keep life interesting!  :)

February 2020

Jacob with his buddy Kate at their class's sledding party

Joe's Grandma Fern passed away in early February.  She was a great lady and will be missed!
We traveled to Hulett for the funeral...passing by Devil's Tower

We did a little swimming the night before the funeral.

Jacob loves to dress up!  This must be a combo costume

He also loves to draw, especially Toy Story characters!

Our cat, Rocky, got really sick and we had to say goodbye.  :(  He was almost 18 years old and had been with Joe and I since he was a 8 weeks old. He was such a good cat and has been missed!
Jacob dressed him up like Batman!

This was his favorite spot...on Joe's lap.  He is so thin in this picture.  This was the night before we said goodbye.

Jacob grieved by drawing pictures.  They broke my heart
