Mexico!!

We headed to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for Spring Break this year! My Mom and Dad went with us and we had a blast! It was so nice to slow down, soak up the sun, and enjoy some quality family time!

Mexico, here we come!!

We also loved going into town and enjoying the local fare, shopping, and all of the people watching on the "malecon"

Joe and I took the girls on a ziplining adventure! Jacob hung back at the resort with Grammy & Papa! The girls were so brave and loved every second!

Maya got to play the maracas as we were serenaded by a mariachi! :)

Last, but definitely not least...the sparkling pool! They especially loved the swim-up bar for strawberries and cream smoothies...yum!

Getting Ready for Easter!

Of course Jacob had to assign each of his Paw Patrol pups a coordinating egg. :)

Jacob's Preschool class put on a Spring performance. It's always fun watching his silliness in action. They followed up the performance with an Easter Egg hunt on the playground. :)

We met two other families in Bozeman for a long weekend of skiing! The kids had a blast and of course, it's always great to see our friends!

10 Years Together

It was 10 years ago, that a sweet little girl from Guatemala came to our family. We love her spunk, spice, and kind heart.

We had 49 solar panels installed on our barn roof in February. These panels will provide our home with all of our energy needs, in combination with the solar hot water panels on our house. We purposely built the barn with this side of the roof facing South to collect as much solar energy as possible. The electricity flows into a net meter, so when we are producing more energy that we are using, the meter actually flows backward and we "bank" electricity to use later. The return on investment is about 8-10 years, but these solar panels are guaranteed to last for 30 years! I'm really looking forward to paying $0 for electricity for a long, long time! The kids love to watch the meter numbers and cheer on our awesome solar panels. :)
