June

Here is a picture dump from June!  We had a fun summer together!

Don & Phyllis celebrated their 65th Wedding Anniversary!  They had quite the party and then were surprised by their children with a helicopter ride.  Jacob thought the helicopter landing and taking off so close was pretty awesome!  Here he is waiting with Grandma Phyllis after her fun ride. :)

Here's Lego girl again with another set she received for her birthday!

I took these pictures of Jacob while we were out walking the sheep.  The amount of moisture we had this Spring was incredible.  The grass is so green and so tall!  It was an amazing hay year!

A favorite activity...throwing rocks off the bridge.  He could do it for hours and giggle every time.

Our strawberry harvest this year was amazing!  I bet we picked 10+ gallons!

Jacob loves to play with his trucks in the dirt.  Here he is at Fair Frenzy while Gabi was at her sheep clinic having a great time!

Working with and learning how to show her sheep at Fair Frenzy
We spent quite a few afternoons at the pool this summer.  Jacob would get the shivers so bad even on the hottest days.  He was perfectly happy to be wrapped up in a towel in the grass....and play with his trucks of course.

Jacob & Seth baled quite a bit of hay together this summer. :)

Joe finished Jacob's bed and we moved it into his bedroom.  He thinks it is pretty awesome!!

The girls playing on "the knob".

Jacob rocks at his balance bike!  He rode it all the way to Joyce's house and back a few times this summer!

Maya spent some time with my Mom and Dad in mid-June.  They went on a long bike ride complete with a huge cinnamon roll!

Basketball & Baseball

Gabi played in a few 3-on-3 tournaments this summer.  Their Swish team that played together last winter split into one 3rd grade team (in teal below) and one 4th grade team.  Gabi's team had to play in a 4th grade bracket most of them time so it was a little eye opening for them, but it was good practice!  The height factor was definitely there!

They each got to pick their own number!  :)

Both girls played baseball.  Maya was on a coach-pitch team and struggled all season to hit the ball, which was a bummer.  She had a good attitude about it though and had fun with her teammates!

1st Place Team!

Gabi played in a kid-pitch league which was new and made it really fun to watch!  She hit the ball well and made some great plays.  They were also first in their league!

May

In an effort to get caught up, here are some random pictures from May!  Enjoy!
Playing with the blocks my Grandpa Larry made for me when I was little.  :)

Maya made this poster for her Callie the Career Cow Project.  Joe took Callie the Cow to work with him one day and he took pictures of Callie doing all the things he does.  It turned out super cute and she was very proud of it!

Speaking of KL&A, Joe's boss, Brant, came up from Golden and took all of the engineers and their families out to dinner one night.  We had such a fun time!  Joe has worked for KL&A for over 14 years now and they have done so much for him and our family.  It was a little more than 6 years ago that Joe set out all by himself to open a branch office in Buffalo so our family could live here instead of Denver.  It was a gamble but with all of his hard work, there are now six engineers in the Buffalo office and they are doing great!  We are so thankful that he was given that opportunity.  The kids have just as much fun as all those guys do in the office!

The end of 2nd grade came for Maya. She gets to move to a new school next year with Gabi.

Maya's school had a field day.  It is fun to see her run!

Her 4x100 relay team got first place...they're also great buddies which makes it even more fun!

BRING ON THE SUMMER!!

FOUR

Jacob turned FOUR at the end of May.  He is so cuddly and about the silliest little guy around.  He keeps me on my toes and is always good for a laugh or two!  We had a big slip n slide party with his cousins and some buddies!
Blowing out the candles on his Paw Patrol Cake from Auntie Amanda!

Crazy Sprinkler from Grammy Mary!

He loves everything Paw Patrol!  He got Zuma for his birthday! :)

EIGHT

Maya turned EIGHT at the end of May!  She is such a sweet and loving girl.  We love her silliness and creativity.  She wants to be a vet when she grows up and loves Taylor Swift.  :)

Maya put this huge lego set together by herself in about an hour.  She rocks at legos and loves them!
Birthday dinner at Winchesters with Grammy Mary & Papa Gary!

Sleepover Guests!  They had so much fun and the giggling was endless!

Birthday pancakes the next morning!!  We survived the sleepover! :)

Maya's 1st Communion

Maya celebrated her First Holy Communion on May 7th.  She was very excited for this special day!

My brother, Maya's Godfather, came from San Francisco to help her celebrate.

Maya with both sets of Grandparents after Mass

Maya with Father Pete after Mass:

We celebrated with family over for dinner later that afternoon.

Someday they will be able to hold themselves up!  I'm behind them holding Jacob!

We were able to climb quite a ways up Windy Ridge that afternoon.  Joe was able to retrieve the elk shed he found and stashed in a tree while up there running a few weeks ago.  My brother got some good pics of God's Country.  Hudson thought the snow still hanging around was pretty refreshing!
