September

With the girls back in school, Jacob and I spend lots of time together in the mornings. He is such an independent, funny little boy!

It doesn't get much better than a fall sunset!

All of the kids had so much fun playing together this summer/fall. The have often turned our garden cart into a go cart down the hill. :)

We joined Tracy and Tessa for a trip to Billings to swim at the indoor water park. All three girls (and the moms) had a fun time!

Jacob was so excited when the cows and calves came back to graze by our house! "The cows home!!"

Over Labor Day weekend, we headed to Devil's Tower. After setting up our camping right outside the park, we walked around and took in the sights. There were many people climbing on the tower and the weather was beautiful. The kids really enjoy seeing it every time we go.

We stayed at the KOA so we were able to swim, play at the playground, and even watch a ranch rodeo next door. Devil's Tower looked pretty cool as a backdrop to our camping spot!

We drove over to Spearfish to see Grandma Fern for most of the day on Sunday and then headed to the Fish Hatchery.

Back to School

Both girls were SOOOO excited to head back to school. We area so lucky to live in a town with an excellent school that makes learning fun!! Here's hoping for another great year!

Rocky & Hudson thought they needed their pictures taken too...they weren't very happy about their playmates heading back to school!

Rockies Game x2

In mid-August, we went to visit my parents and were able to take in two Rockies games! The first was "Wyoming Night at the Rockies". We joined some friends of ours and left the kids with my parents. It was fun to see all of the brown and gold around the stadium. We even received a brown and gold Rockies hat with our tickets. :) We stayed the night in downtown Denver and enjoyed eating yummy food and catching up with our friends.

We sat behind a really cute family. I asked the mom to take our picture and when she did, her son photo bombed it. It was too cute not to share!

I bought Joe and my Dad tickets to the Sunday afternoon Rockies game for Father's Day. We ate lunch at the Rio downtown and just had a wonderful afternoon.

The Rockies won!

August Adventures

August gave us....

....More time at the cabin :)

...Lots of opportunities for Jacob to see Papa driving the swather, rake, baler, and combine near our house. He LOVES to watch these happenings!

Fair & Rodeo Time

Johnson County Fair & Rodeo week is filled with fun activities for the kids.

Gabi climbing the wall at "Fun on the Go" night at Prosinski Park. She made it to the top and crushed it!

The girls participated in the Klondike Rush Fun Run. Gabi won the 1 mile race!

The girls had quite a few entries in the fair. The mostly entered flowers, which I unfortunately did not take any pictures of. :( They have been big helpers this summer to water, weed, and care for our flower gardens! We also went out to the oat field near our house and picked sunflowers to enter. We also went on a wildflower hike for an arrangement. Maya's wildflower arrangement won reserve champion! They also made a craft to enter. Maya made an owls out of ribbons and felt. Gabi made a wreath out of fabric scraps.
