September 2022

September brought us lots more cross country, a fun, family trip to Utah, some birthday celebrations, and some quality time at the cabin.

Due to thunderstorms, the girls and boys ran together in Cody.  I love their prerace prayer and support for each other.

Party on the busses during the lightning delay

Two of Gabi's favorite people all matching!

Jacob & I still enjoy evening walks.  The pond was beautiful one still evening.

Gabi turned 15!  Oh how we love this spicy, determined girl!  Maya made her an oreo cake

We went to Provo, UT to take in the Wyoming vs. BYU game.  We had lots of fun as a family despite Wyoming's loss.

Eating at In-N-Out before the game

We spent Saturday at Lagoon and had a blast.  The kids are daredevils with the rollercoasters - especially Maya!

This was at Boondocks on Friday night.  We also spent lots of time at the awesome outlet mall on Friday!  Girls were in heaven.

Gabi got some highway miles in on the way to Utah.

Sinks Canyon near Lander

This is the rise in the canyon.  The trout were huge!

We stayed in Lander on Thursday after running a cross country meet in Worland.  We ate a Cowfish - it was delicious!

Jacob has been busy making comic books.  He is so creative and funny!

We celebrated Grandma Phyllis's birthday at our cabin.  She is doing great!  It was a fun, beautiful day.

On September 16 (the 21st anniversary of the crash that killed our eight teammates and friends), the girls ran a cross country race in Sheridan.  It was a great way to spend the day remembering them and supporting something that they all loved to do.  Spending it with former teammates and our Coach Sanchez, made it even better.

Jacob and his buddy watched their sisters run lots of cross country this fall.

Taking in a Pokes game in Laramie

We spent Labor Day weekend in Buffalo with my mom and dad.  A polo match in Big Horn for Don King Days was a highlight

As was lots of time spent at the cabin

We found some swimming holes but they were cold!

Maya was nominated by her teachers to participate in a Sources of Strength (SOS) leadership training
.  She had a fun day and learned a lot!
